Adrian Sean Curley

Adrian Sean Curley, age 27, El Reno resident, was born September 10, 1998, in Denver, Colorado, to John William Standingwater and Stephanie Rose Curley. He passed away August 22, 2026, in Billings, Montana.

Adrian was raised in Fort Defiance and Tuba City, Arizona, and attended Tuba City Elementary before later attending school in Elk City, Oklahoma. He moved to El Reno for his senior year and graduated from El Reno High School.

Adrian was a chapter member of Tadlena and Tuba on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. His heritage and the places where he was raised remained an important part of his life.

A hardworking young man, Adrian worked in construction whenever the opportunity arose. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family and could be counted on when someone needed help. He enjoyed taking care of the farm and tending to the sheep and was happiest spending time outdoors. He loved camping, swimming, and simply being outside.

Adrian was an Arizona Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and going to concerts. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his brothers, family, and friends. Those who knew Adrian will remember his kind and accepting nature. He treated people with respect, was friendly to everyone he met, and had a wonderful sense of humor. One of his favorite ways of staying connected with his friends was sending them funny Facebook reels just to make them laugh.

Adrian was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Youngbull; his great-grandparents, John and Lucille Youngbull and Elliott Sr. and Christine Curley; and Rachel Curley.

He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Curley of El Reno; his father, John Standingwater of Elk City; his grandfather, Elliott Curley Jr. of Zuni, New Mexico; his aunt, Stella Arizona and her husband, Steve, of Arizona; and his brothers, Karl Craig of Denver, Elton Standingwater of Kingfisher, John Standingwater of El Reno, and Jordan Standingwater of Clinton. He also leaves behind many other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will deeply miss his kindness, humor, and caring spirit.

A traditional all-night wake will be held beginning at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the ERC Building in Hammon, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Adrian will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the ERC Building in Hammon, with John Youngbull officiating.

Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
