Christa Margareta Miller

July 25, 1943 — April 8, 2026

Clinton, Oklahoma

Christa Margareta Miller, age 82, a longtime resident of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with her beloved husband by her side.

Christa was born on July 25, 1943, in Mannheim, Germany, to Elizebetta Graef. She was raised in Käfertal, Germany, where she attended school and spent her early years surrounded by family and lifelong traditions that she carried with her throughout her life.

On September 5, 1980, she married the love of her life, Donald Lee Miller, while he was stationed in Germany. Their marriage was one of deep devotion and partnership. Following Donald’s discharge from military service in July of 1993, the couple moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, where they made their home and built a life together filled with love, faith, and community.

Christa dedicated much of her working life to caring for others. She worked in several nursing homes in the Clinton and Weatherford areas, where her compassion and gentle spirit made a lasting impact on both residents and coworkers. She later worked for over ten years at S & D Drug Store, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many in the community.

Christa had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. She loved cooking and sharing meals with family, reading, watching German television to stay connected to her heritage, and tending to her garden as long as she was able. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and hospitality.

A woman of strong faith, Christa was a proud and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She also served as Past Vice President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and generously gave her time volunteering by running the Auxiliary Bingo at the VA Hospital, bringing joy and companionship to many veterans.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizebetta Graef, and her sister, Inge Graef.

Christa is survived by her loving husband, Don Miller of their home; her stepdaughter, Robin Tysl and husband Dennis of Chicago; her sister, Helge Hoffman; nine grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, with the date and time to be announced. Reverend Diane Steiner will officiate. Burial of her cremains will follow at Clinton Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
