Clint Wesley Higginbotham

August 24, 1954 — December 24, 2025

Clinton, Oklahoma

Clint Wesley Higginbotham, age 71, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born August 24, 1954, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Otis Kile and Claudia Francille Higginbotham, and passed away peacefully at his Clinton residence on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025.

Clint was raised in Denison, Texas, and graduated from Denison High School in 1972. After high school, he joined the Marines where he attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and after being honorably discharged, he attended California State University, Fullerton, for a few years.

In his younger years, Clint held several odd jobs before discovering his professional calling in his early 30s as a licensed Hearing Aid Specialist. For more than 40 years, he served individuals across central and western Oklahoma, owning and operating Caring Hearing Aid Services, with clinics in Clinton and Elk City. His compassion, patience, and dedication left a lasting impact on countless patients and families.

On April 2, 2018, Clint married his loving wife, Wanda Matutino, in the Philippines. Together, they made their home in Clinton and faithfully attended Cornerstone Church. Clint was also a member of The Gideons International and had the opportunity to speak at several churches, sharing his faith and testimony.

A man of deep faith, Clint loved any song or story that highlighted the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. He wrote, directed, and acted in several religious films, which portrayed even the “worst of the worst” finding repentance and redemption—stories of broken lives transformed by grace. These projects were among his proudest accomplishments. As scripture reminds us, “For it is by grace you have been saved, not of your own works, so no man may boast.”

Clint enjoyed watching football, westerns, and classic television shows such as Coach, Green Acres, and The Three Stooges, especially Shemp. He loved playing ping pong, throwing darts, and was well known for his sense of humor, always the jokester in the group and a joy to be around.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Claudia Higginbotham.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Wanda Higginbotham, of the home; two sons, David Higginbotham and wife Shelly of Piedmont, and Daniel Higginbotham and wife Brandi of Yukon; one brother, James Robert Higginbotham and wife Mary of Cordell, Sister Alicia Robinson and husband Winnie of El Reno: and five grandchildren, Mariah, Jenna, Brooklyn, Britney, and Stella.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Cornerstone Church in Clinton. A private family burial will follow. Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
