Dianna Lynn Sladek Burnam
Funeral services for Dianna Burnam, 80, a resident of Clinton, OK will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Custer Avenue Church of Christ, officiated by Ryan Driskill and under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Burial will follow Friday at 10:00AM at Mission Park Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, Dominion Park in San Antonio, Texas at 20900 IH-10 west.
Dianna Lynn Sladek Burnam was born September 30, 1945, to Arnold Joseph Sladek and Evelyn Louise (Muzny) Sladek in Taylor, Texas. She passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Dianna spent her younger years in Freeport, Texas, where she began her education, and later moved to San Antonio, where she completed her schooling. In later years, she furthered her education at San Antonio College.
She married Russell Lee Burnam on June 29, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas. Together they made their homes in San Antonio, Texas; Marion, Texas; and LaVernia, Texas. Dianna worked as a civil service employee at Randolph Air Force Base and Fort Sam Houston in Texas. Her husband preceded her in death in 2006, and she retired soon after.
She later moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, to live near her son, James.
Dianna was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, reading, collecting cookie jars and dolls, attending Southwest Playhouse productions, and watching television—especially Law & Order and Food Network programs. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and games.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Suggs and husband Richard Jr. of Cypress, Texas; Mary Anne Boller and husband Michael of Fort Worth, Texas and son-in-law, Vernon Rider of Godley; her son, James Burnam and wife Jasey of Clinton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Griffin of Lorena, Texas, and her brother, David Sladek and wife Patsy of San Antonio, Texas.
Additional survivors include eight grandchildren: Kyle Suggs and wife Taylor; Kelley Magallan and husband David; Charles Rider and wife Cassidy; Brice Rider and wife Whitnee; Tanner Rider; Konner Burnam; Elliott Burnam; and Hudson Burnam.
She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Bentlee Rider, Corbin Rider, Everett Rider, Lilly Suggs, Charlotte Suggs, David Magallan, and Easton Magallan.
