Fernando Chagolla

Fernando Chagolla, age 66, of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, was born on May 7, 1960, in Lubbock, Texas, to Tolbert  Santana (Fuentez) Mixon. He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, early Sunday morning, June 28, 2026.

Fernando spent most of his life in the Clinton and Burns Flat communities, where he attended Clinton Public Schools and built lasting friendships. Known for his remarkable craftsmanship and strong work ethic, Fernando had a natural talent for working with his hands. Whether repairing vehicles, welding, reupholstering furniture, crafting leather goods, or creating woodworking projects, there seemed to be nothing he couldn't build or repair. His willingness to help others, combined with his creativity and practical skills, earned him the admiration of family and friends alike.

Above all, Fernando treasured the time he spent with those he loved. He was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, and generous spirit. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the lasting legacy of his craftsmanship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tolbert and Santana Mixon; and his brother, Jesse Chagolla.

Fernando is survived by his sons, Fernando Chagolla Jr. and Alex Santana Chagolla; his brothers, Danny Mixon, Oscar Chagolla, and Jr. Filimon Chagolla; his sister Sandra Jones and her husband Richard; his nieces, Tiffany Lee and her husband, Brian, and Amber Steinle and her husband, Kenny; along with other relatives and many friends who will cherish his memory.

In keeping with Fernando's wishes, he will be cremated. A graveside burial of his cremated remains will be held at the Clinton Cemetery at a later date, once scheduled.
