Frank Flores

Cesario "Frank" Flores, age 77, a longtime Clinton resident, was born on January 30, 1949, in Edinburg, Texas, to Virgino and Leonarda (Gonzales) Flores. He peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by the love of his family.

Frank was raised in Butler, Oklahoma, where he attended Butler Public Schools. As a young man, he began his strong work ethic while employed at the Butler Co-op. On December 15, 1972, he married the love of his life, Mary Cardenas, in Clinton, Oklahoma. Together they built a loving home and shared more than 53 years of marriage, raising a family grounded in love, faith, and hard work.

After marrying, Frank moved to the Clinton area, where he worked alongside Devert Choplin building fences before beginning what would become a long and fulfilling career with the Clinton Co-op. He faithfully served the Co-op for more than 25 years before retiring. Even in retirement, Frank wasn't one to sit still. He continued working at the Best Western Hotel and later with Braum's Cattle Company, where he enjoyed staying active and visiting with the people he met along the way.

Frank will be remembered most for his infectious smile and cheerful personality. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, always quick with a laugh and never meeting a stranger. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, trying his luck at the casino, shooting pool, and gathering around the table to play board games with those he loved. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying time together, Frank's kind heart and joyful spirit made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest pride was his family. The love he shared and the memories he created will continue to be treasured for generations.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Virgino and Leonarda Flores; his sister, Abby Flores; and his brother, Celestino Flores.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Flores, of their Clinton home; his sons, Cesario Flores Jr. and wife Julias of McKinney, Texas, and Raymond Flores and wife Kiley of Clinton; his daughters, Janie Casas of Clinton and Erma Flores-Mares and husband Manuel of Oklahoma City; his sisters, Nancy Calixco of Clinton and Virginia Olivarez of Oklahoma City; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will deeply miss him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clinton, officiated by Father Balaswamy. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, in the Hyman Memorial Chapel, located at Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
