Gay Carroll Jack
Gay Carroll Jack, age 90, a lifelong Clinton resident, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 25, 1935, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Virgil E. and Della Mae (Knight) Tilley.
As a young girl, Gay lived in several Oklahoma communities, including Wewoka, McAlester, and Midwest City, before her family settled in Clinton when she was in the fifth grade. She completed her education in Clinton and later earned a Bachelor of Business degree from Abilene Christian College.
On July 24, 1959, she married the love of her life, Charles Jack, in Clinton, Oklahoma. Together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Gay devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a faithful member of the Clinton Church of Christ and found great joy in serving her family and community.
Gay enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, shopping, traveling in their RV, crocheting, knitting, playing cards with friends, and gathering with her cherished "Lunch Bunch" for fellowship and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Della Mae Tilley; her brother, Bill Tilley; her sister, Peggy Tilley; and her son-in-law, Mike Hyman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Jack, of Oklahoma City; her son, Jeffrey Jack and wife Rebecca of Yukon; her daughter, Kimberly Hyman of Hammon; four grandchildren, Jeremy Jack, Kenli Miller and husband Chris, Jacota Hyman, and Kyle Quinn and wife Yanting; and five great-grandchildren, Bela Jack, Langston Miller, Kaizlee Miller, Karson Quinn, and Karter Quinn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Custer Avenue Church of Christ in Clinton, with Pat Peters officiating. A private burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
