Paul Crayton

April 20, 1956 — April 13, 2026

Clinton, Oklahoma

Paul Clayton, 69, of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at his home.

Born April 20, 1956, in Elk City, Oklahoma, he was the son of J.W. and Mildred (Dunlap) Crayton. He was raised in Enid, Oklahoma, and moved with his family to Clinton during his junior year of high school, graduating from Clinton High School in 1975.

Following graduation, Paul began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver, a profession he took great pride in. Over the years, he also worked as a cameraman for Trinity Broadcasting Network and was widely known for his skill as a carpenter and handyman—always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and neighbors.

Paul had a deep love for the outdoors and took particular pride in earning his Master Gardener certification. He was an avid football fan, especially devoted to the University of Oklahoma Sooners, and rarely missed a game. Known for his generous spirit and easygoing nature, he cherished time spent with his close friends, often sharing stories and laughter over coffee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Clyde Crayton and wife Enola of Clinton, Oklahoma; two sisters, Debra Crayton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Karen Ward and husband of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his niece, Rachel McLain and husband Lee of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; and his nephew, Casey Crayton of Clinton, Oklahoma, along with other extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
