A Mass of Christian Burial for Juan Fernando Martinez, 42 , Clinton resident, will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, May 29, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Mandagiri Balaswamy. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the Hyman Chapel of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Juan Fernando Martinez was born June 19, 1983, in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Olegario Martinez Perez and Maria Tovar de Martinez. He passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Juan was raised and educated in Mexico before moving to the United States at the age of 15. After arriving in America, he began working in construction and fence building, later establishing a career in the oilfield industry where he specialized in pipeline work. He was known as a hardworking man who dedicated himself to providing for his family.
On March 26, 2010, he married Ayde Soto in Clinton, Oklahoma. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with four daughters, who were the center of Juan’s life.
Juan was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He had a deep love for music and dancing and enjoyed performing with several bands, traveling to play at celebrations and community events. He was happiest when surrounded by his loving daughters, family and friends, sharing laughter, music, and time together. Juan especially cherished spending time with his daughters, and the close relationship he shared with his mother and treasured every moment spent with her.
For the past year, Juan courageously battled failing health while remaining devoted to his family and loved ones. He will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, joyful spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Ayde Martinez of the home; four daughters, Yoselin Soto, Adalyn Martinez, Emmalyn Martinez, and Daislyn Martinez, all of the home; his parents, Maria Tovar de Martinez and Olegario Martinez Perez of Mexico; four sisters, Diana Martinez of Mexico, Ana Lucia Martinez of Clinton, Cecilia Martinez of Mexico, and Fernanda Martinez of Clinton; and four brothers, Miguel Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Omar Martinez, all of Clinton, and Alejandro Martinez of El Reno, Oklahoma.
Una Misa de Sepelio Cristiano para Juan Fernando Martínez, de 42 años y residente de Clinton, se celebrará a las 12:00 del mediodía el viernes 29 de mayo de 2026 en la St. Mary’s Catholic Church, oficiada por el Padre Mandagiri Balaswamy. Tenía un gran amor por la música y el baile, y disfrutaba tocar con varios grupos musicales, viajando para participar en celebraciones y eventos comunitarios. Era más feliz cuando estaba rodeado de su familia y amigos, compartiendo risas, música y momentos especiales. Juan apreciaba especialmente la cercana relación que tenía con su madre y atesoraba cada momento a su lado.
