Judson David Walpole, age 58, longtime Clinton resident, was born September 11, 1968, in Mexia, Texas, to Charles Douglas and Sammie Joyce (Christoferson) Walpole, and passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Judd, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was raised in Coolidge, Texas, where he attended school and graduated from Coolidge High School in 1985. During his younger years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coolidge.
Judd began his working career with Kenny Crisp, owner of K.C. Fumigation, where he remained for several years. In 1999, he began working at McKinsey-Ballard Ford, where he found not only a career but something he truly loved doing. He became General Manager in 2003 and remained with the dealership through the transition when Max McKinsey purchased his partner's interest. Judd continued working alongside Max throughout the years, building lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike. Selling cars was more than just a job to Judd; it was something he genuinely enjoyed. His outgoing personality and ability to visit with just about anyone made him a natural in the car business.
On December 27, 2000, Judd married the love of his life, Debbie Leddy, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared a life filled with love, family, and many wonderful memories.
Judd was a man of many interests who enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing golf. He also enjoyed collecting coins and old stamps. He had a special appreciation for nature, particularly birds and trees. Judd could often be found pointing out a bird flying overhead and telling his family exactly what kind it was, or identifying the different trees around them. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others and always seemed to have something interesting to talk about.
Above all, Judd loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He was a friendly, outgoing man who never seemed to meet a stranger. Whether he was visiting with a customer, spending time with friends, or enjoying the outdoors, Judd had a way of making those around him feel welcome. He will be remembered for his warm personality, his love of conversation, and the many friendships he made throughout his life.
Judd was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sammie Walpole, and his sister, Shirley Lyons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Walpole, of the home; his sons, Austin Walpole and Mason Walpole, both of Clinton; his daughter, Samantha Dixon; and his grandchildren, Lane Willis and Harper Pickens.
He is also survived by his sister, Marcy Walpole of Mexia, Texas; his brother, Charles Walpole, also of Mexia; his sisters-in-law, Deena Martindale and her husband George of Elk City, Denise Gerhold and her husband Bill of Elk City, and Deah Miller and her husband Dale of Union City, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Linda Leddy of Canute; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
