Leonard Joseph Hatch
Leonard Joseph Hatch, age 35, of Towaoc, Colorado, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Cortez, Colorado. He was born May 22, 1990, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Tom Bullcoming and Melissa Ann Hatch.
Leonard was raised in Oklahoma until the age of 12 before moving to Colorado, where he spent the remainder of his life. He attended Southwest Open High School in Cortez and later worked as a cook at the Ute Mountain Casino. Known for his strong work ethic and vibrant spirit, Leonard loved spending time with his family and friends and always enjoyed having a good time.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Ann Hatch, and his grandmother, Frieda Hatch-Ridgebear.
He is survived by his father, Tom Bullcoming of Hammon, Oklahoma; his significant other, Tywana Dutchie of Towaoc, Colorado; his children: son Markell Redfoot-Hatch, stepson Xavier Badback, daughters Pipper Hatch, J’Riaa Hatch, Paige Hatch, and stepdaughter Jaylene Redfoot, all of Towaoc, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother, Justin Ridgebear and his significant other Evelyn Lopez, both of Towaoc, and his aunt, Melanie Moore of Dolores, Colorado.
A traditional all-night wake will begin at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Hammon ERC Building. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 28, 2025, also at the Hammon ERC Building, with Gerald Panana officiating. Burial will follow at the Hammon Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
Leonard will be remembered for his joyful nature, his deep love for his family, and the many lives he touched with his kind heart.
