Lola Jean Koch
December 5, 1933 – [Date of Death], 2025
Lola Jean Koch, 91, a longtime resident of Arapaho, Oklahoma, passed away early Friday morning in Clinton. She was born on December 5, 1933, in Zack, Arkansas, to Alonzo and Mary (Green) Spradlin.
Lola was raised in Arkansas and Missouri, where her family moved frequently. She attended school in both states, finishing her education in Missouri. As a student, she was an active member of the 4-H Club and fondly recalled visiting neighbors' homes to learn the art of canning fruits and vegetables—skills she cherished throughout her life.
A devoted member of Arapaho First Baptist Church, Lola lived a life full of creativity and connection. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, camping, reading, and especially traveling. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Rook with friend's on Saturdays while camping along the South Canadian River in Dewey County. Lola had a warm, accepting heart and embraced people just as they were.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Mary Spradlin; her husband, Eldon Koch; her son, Guy Koch; son-in-law, Mike Harris; five brothers; seven sisters; and three grandchildren, Darcy Koch, Corie Koch, and Levi Riley.
Lola is survived by her son, Boyd Koch and his wife Nora of Elk City, OK; her daughters, Connie Harris of Custer City, OK, and Fern Riley and husband Rick of Port Lavaca, TX; daughter-in-law, Molly Koch of Woodward, OK; sister, Cleo Wilson of Athens, TX; sister-in-law, Kitty Koch of Oklahoma City; ten grandchildren: Laura, Tammy, Michael, Dillon, Katy, Mandie, Shawnna, Tara, Ethan, and Amanda; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Lola's life will be announced at a later date. Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
