Marc Ellis Browning, age 55, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born September 11, 1970, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, to Jimmy D. and Roberta L. (Raimer) Browning, and passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Clinton.

Marc was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1988. After high school, he became a certified welder and worked in the trade for many years. He was known for his strong work ethic, friendly personality, and willingness to lend a helping hand to others.

Marc loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time in nature. He found peace in simple moments — a quiet fishing trip, a campfire with friends, or a drive to somewhere new. To those who knew him, Marc will be remembered as a kindhearted man with a good sense of humor and a love for life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy D. Browning; his maternal grandparents, Robert H. and Bessie Morgan Rainer; and his paternal grandparents, John J. and Flora Belle Browning.

Marc is survived by his sons, Levi McBride of Clinton and Marc Edgar of Houston; his mother, Roberta Browning of Clinton; sisters, Elizabeth Stephenson and husband Scott of Cordell, and Amanda Browning of Cordell; brother, Jimmy D. Browning II of Colorado Springs; nieces and nephews, Zoe Stephenson, Jacob Pierce, Ethan Stephenson and wife Kylie and their son Grayson Stephenson, Jeremiah Alexander and wife Amber, and Josh Browning and wife Dorian.

Marc’s wishes were to be cremated. Cremation services are under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home in Clinton.
