Mary “Nadine” Douglas, age 102, longtime Clinton resident, was born December 2, 1923, in Aledo, Oklahoma, to Andrew and Lillie Kincaid. She passed away early Monday morning, August 24, 2026, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Nadine was raised in the Independence community and graduated from Independence High School. On November 18, 1945, she married Glenn Douglas. Together, they made their home in Clinton, where they built their life and raised their family.
Nadine enjoyed a lengthy career with J.C. Penney in Clinton, where she worked for many years before retiring. She was also a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on needlepoint and putting together puzzles. Throughout her 102 years, Nadine witnessed many changes, but her greatest joys remained her family, her faith, and the relationships she treasured.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lillie Kincaid; her husband, Glenn Douglas; her sister, Jettie; two brothers, Earl Kincaid and Roy Lee Kincaid; two sisters-in-law; and her granddaughter, Holly Douglas Gates.
Nadine is survived by her two sons, Jerry Douglas and his wife, Sheron, of Clinton, and Kelly Douglas and his wife, Khris, of Pawnee. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family and friends.
Nadine was blessed with a long and full life spanning more than a century. Her family will cherish the many years they were blessed to share with her and the memories she leaves behind.
Funeral services for Nadine will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026, in the Hyman Memorial Chapel at Lee Hometown Funeral Home, with Brandon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
