MaryAnn Morris

MaryAnn Morris, 86, of Clinton, was born April 15, 1940, in San Diego, California, to Frank Joseph and Lillian (Genovese-Smith) Cappallo. She passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, in Clinton.

MaryAnn was raised in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. She later moved to Imperial Beach, California, where she graduated from Mar Vista High School in 1959. She married Robert “Bob” Morris on June 14, 1980, in San Diego.

Following their marriage, MaryAnn and Bob moved to Arkansas, where they owned and operated a small mom-and-pop grocery store for eight years. They later moved to Clinton, where MaryAnn worked in the Culinary Arts Department for 10 years before retiring.

MaryAnn had a giving heart and enjoyed volunteering at the Clinton hospital, where she worked with the Candy Stripers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lillian Cappallo.

MaryAnn is survived by her husband, Bob Morris, of the home; her son, Michael McGral Jr. and wife Jennifer, of Edmond; her daughters, Michele Allen and husband Mike, of Hillsboro, Kansas, and Melissa Sparks and husband David, of Waxahachie, Texas; her sister, Francy Eagan, of Maryland; four grandchildren, Barry Whited, Matthew Nash, Lydia Nash, and Blake McGral; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Maisie, and Jamison; and other relatives and friends.

Cremation was MaryAnn’s choice, and arrangements are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
