Noel Labastida

April 26, 1967 — December 31, 2025

Clinton, Oklahoma

Noel Labastida, age 58, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born April 26, 1967, in Jiliapan, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Mauricio and Esther (Andrade) Labastida, and passed away peacefully at his Clinton home on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025.

Noel was raised in Jiliapan, Hidalgo, Mexico, where he attended school. In 1987, at the age of 20, he moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, where he made his home and built a life surrounded by family and friends.

He worked for several years at Bar-S as a cooler man and later was employed by Wheeler Bros. in Thomas, Oklahoma. Noel was known as a hard worker who enjoyed the friendships he formed with his coworkers and the conversations they shared.

In his free time, Noel loved spending time with friends, listening to music, and cooking out. Whether grilling outdoors or being creative in the kitchen, he took great pride in preparing food for others. He loved the Dallas Cowboys. He especially enjoyed the simple moments—laughing, talking, and enjoying good company.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Labastida, and his younger brother, Oscar Labastida.

Noel is survived by his father, Mauricio Labastida; his son, Noel Labastida Jr. of Clinton; his daughters, Itzel Labastida of Houston, Leslie Labastida of the home, and Varetzi Labastida of Clinton; his sisters, Esther Labastida and Rubi Labastida, both of Mexico; his brothers, Elvis Labastida of Houston and Hector Labastida of Clinton; and his grandchildren, Aiden Perez and Eliseo Labastida, both of Clinton.

A memorial service for Noel will be announced at a later date. His wishes were to be cremated. Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
