Patricia Sue Holden, age 84, a former longtime resident of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 25, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by loved ones.

Pat was born on March 13, 1941, in Clinton to James Roy and Reva Mae (Shultz) Williams. She grew up in Clinton, where she made lifelong friends and lasting memories. A proud graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1959, Patricia married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Freddie Joe Holden, on March 6, 1959, in their hometown.

Over the years, Pat and Freddie built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Pat was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion. She was a longtime member of Corn Mennonite Church and attended various other congregations as life moved them to new places. She spent many years as the office manager for Dr. Reimer before continuing her service to others at the local hospital, where she eventually retired.

A woman of simple joys and unwavering kindness, Pat loved to sew, sing, and spend time in her yard. Whether it was pulling weeds or planting flowers, she found peace in nature and pride in her home. Her happiest moments were often the simplest: sitting outside with a cold Pepsi and a sleeve of Oreos. Pat had a gift for making others feel welcome—she never met a stranger and left everyone she encountered better than she found them.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddie; her parents, James and Reva Williams; her sister, Marjorie; and her brother, Jimmy, and her grandson Jacob Holden.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: daughter Nancey Holden and her partner Ron DeJong of West Valley City, Utah; son Michael Holden and his partner Elena Trujillo of Salt Lake City, Utah; and son Brian Holden and his wife Rhonda of Cordell, Oklahoma. She was a proud and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Jennifer Doris Aden and husband Joshua of Las Vegas, NV; Elizabeth Oldham and husband Chris of South Jordan City, UT; Matthew Brannies and wife Ashlee of Washington; Dave Holden and wife Brenda of Caro, MI; Krystal Anderson and husband Greg of Lapeer, MI; James Holden and wife Starla of Cordell; and Fen Holden, also of Cordell. Pat also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren: Aria, Isabelle, Riley, Kylee, David, Olivia, Carter, Ollie, and Gabriel.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Her cremains will be spread over a cherished farm near Corn, Oklahoma—a place that brought her peace and joy.

Patricia Sue Holden lived a life marked by grace, generosity, and a deep love for her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
