Patricia Mae Crockett-Klein, known affectionately as Pat or Patty to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at the age of 88 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born on December 14, 1937, in Alton, IA, she was the cherished daughter of Marie Gesine Crockett (née Waalkes) and David Crockett. She shared a special bond with her brother, also named David, throughout her life.
Pat was a person of deep Christian faith, which guided her throughout her life. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the greatest comfort to her in her final days.
Her loving spirit, passionate nature, and dedication to her family and friends were the hallmarks of her character. Pat's vibrant personality brought joy to all who knew her.
Her professional life was marked by a successful career at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, where she was known for her spirited dedication and unwavering work ethic.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Pat was an avid sculptor, finding solace and joy in the art of shaping and molding. Her sculptures were not only a testament to her artistic talent but also a reflection of her ability to transform the raw into the beautiful, much like the way she approached life.
A lifelong Republican, Pat was actively involved in her political party, contributing both her time and energy to causes she believed in. Her commitment to her principles was evident to all who engaged with her in thoughtful and respectful political discourse.
Pat's love extended beyond her immediate family to a circle of friends who were drawn to her passionate and loving nature. Her spirited conversations, and genuine concern for others enriched the lives of those she touched. Pat's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of her loved ones.
Pat is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and daughter, Deborah Ree Salmon. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband James T. Klein.
As we bid farewell to Patricia Mae Crockett-Klein, we celebrate the life of a woman who embodied love, spirit, and passion. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as her presence enriched our lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beacon of warmth and affection in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Graveside services were held Friday, June 12, 2026 in the Arapaho Cemetery, under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
