Ricky Kent Salmon, age 63, Clinton resident, was born October 4, 1962, in Hugo to Bob and Betty (Mott) Salmon, and passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home.
Ricky was raised in Hugo and graduated from Hugo High School in 1981. He was a proud truck driver, a profession he dedicated his life to, working for various companies throughout his career. Most recently, he drove for Bison Trucking. In 1999, he moved to Clinton, where he met and married the love of his life, Tonya Pedrazine.
Ricky loved spending time in his garage, where he could fix just about anything his family brought to him. If it was broken, he could make it work again. He never had a bad word to say about anything or anyone. He enjoyed watching Blue Collar Comedy Tour and was laid back—the true definition of a proud “redneck.” He was rarely seen without his overalls, and he enjoyed collecting Zippo lighters and PEZ dispensers.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Salmon of the home; his son, Josh Salmon and Kody of Clinton; his daughters, Kayla Coronado and spouse Christina of Eldorado, Oklahoma; Amy Aguilar and her husband David of Willow, Oklahoma; April Gonzalez and her husband Nicolas of Moore, Oklahoma; and LaShawn Barnett and her husband Emil of Piedmont, Oklahoma; his sister, Vicki Dye, and brother, Darrell Salmon, both of Longview, Texas; his brother, Glen Salmon of Hugo, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Mary Moore of Clinton; and a host of other family members and friends.
The family wishes to have a private memorial service at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
