Robert Craig Cage

December 13, 1954 — July 28, 2025

Arapaho, Oklahoma

Robert Craig Cage, age 70, of Arapaho, Oklahoma, passed away at his Arapaho home. He was born December 13, 1954, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Everett and Francis (VanDevender) Cage.

Robert was raised in the Idabel and Garvin areas, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. He graduated from Idabel High School and went on to build a life filled with hard work, adventure, and music. He held various jobs throughout his life — most notably as a dedicated truck driver for PAN Transport. He was also a skilled painter, handyman, and worked in several pawn shops throughout the region.

Robert had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He loved being outdoors — especially fishing, camping, and kayaking. He had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his beloved dogs. A talented self-taught musician, Robert found great joy in playing his guitar and sharing music with those around him.

On February 14, 2010, he married the love of his life, Regina “Tweet” Taylor. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and shared adventures.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Francis Cage, and by his sister, Nadine Hoover.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tweet Cage of Arapaho; his son, Daniel Cage of Chickasha; his sister, Lyndean Taylor and her husband Ralph of Corn; and nephew James McCoy and his wife Amber of Corn, who were like family to him. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Daisy Cage, Zevelle Cage, Kialea Cage.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home of Clinton.

Robert will be remembered for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and the music he brought into the lives of those who knew and loved him.
