Robert “Mike” Michael Waddle, age 77, longtime Clinton resident, was born May 18, 1948, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Gerald and Virginia (Schroder) Waddle, and passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Mike was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1966. Following high school, he continued his education at the Vo-Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. On June 29, 1968, he married the love of his life, Dee Isaak, in Clinton. The couple first made their home in Oklahoma City before moving to Tulsa, where they lived for nearly ten years and welcomed their son, Richie.
Throughout his working years, Mike was known for his strong work ethic and reliable nature. He spent time working at Kelwood and later served Clinton Public Schools until his retirement. While living in Tulsa, he also enjoyed working as a mechanic on drag cars, a hobby that combined his mechanical skill and love for engines.
Mike cherished time outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His greatest joy, however, came from supporting his son—never missing Richie’s high school basketball games and proudly cheering him on from the stands. He loved his family deeply and treasured the role of grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Virginia Waddle, and his brother, Richard Waddle.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Waddle of the home; his son, Richie Waddle of Clinton; granddaughters Asphen, Kielea, and Destinee; and two great-granddaughters, Ember and Violet.
In honor of Mike’s wishes, he will be cremated. Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.
