Roland Jay Sherrill, Jr.

Roland Jay Sherrill, Jr., was born on February 9, 1978, to Roland and Ann (Shaeffer) Sherrill, Sr. in Beaver, OK, and passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his home in Clinton, Oklahoma.

Roland was raised in Lincoln, Neb, where he attended High School with the Class of 1996.

Throughout his working career, Roland was employed by Bar-S Foods in Clinton and Quad Graphics in Oklahoma City. He worked in maintenance and as a mechanic, fields in which he was highly skilled and took great pride.

Roland enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Summer, playing pool, gaming on his Nintendo Switch, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with friends. He cherished the time he spent with family and those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Sherrill, Sr.; and his grandparents, Lucille and Woodrow Wilson.

Roland is survived by his mother, Ann Shaeffer of Witchita, KS; his daughter, Summer Sherrill of Moore, Oklahoma, and her mother, April Hale; and three brothers, James Sherrill, Guy Sherrill, and Curtis Sherrill.

A viewing and visitation with the family will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in the Hyman Memorial Chapel at Lee Hometown Funeral Home. Friends and family are encouraged to bring their motorcycles in honor and support of Roland's love for riding.
