Susanna Williams, age 70, of Clinton, Oklahoma, was born June 16, 1955, in Clinton to A.Y. and Corine (Woods) Williams, and passed away peacefully in her Clinton home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Susanna was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School with the Class of 1973. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education in 1977, and later completed her master’s degree, also at SWOSU.

A lifelong educator, Susanna devoted her life to teaching and mentoring children. She completed her student teaching at Southwest Elementary School in Clinton before beginning her professional teaching career in Ponca City, where she taught for 10 years. She later moved to Texas, teaching for 15 years in Austin and an additional 20 years in Houston, where she ultimately retired. Throughout her career, she taught science and math and was known for her dedication, compassion, and ability to connect with students.

After retirement, Susanna returned to Clinton to assist the late Lillian Collins at Eastside Academy, where she volunteered faithfully for the past seven years. She had a true servant’s heart and loved helping children, always with a warm smile.

Susanna was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and remained active in community service. She served on the Clinton Public Schools School Board, was a past member of the Clinton Mission House, and served on several boards in Texas, including the School Union Board.

In her personal time, Susanna loved to travel and was a passionate sports fan, proudly cheering on her beloved Oklahoma State Cowboys and her San Francisco 49ers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.Y. and Corine Williams; her son, Tori Williams; and her siblings, Joyce Lenard, Mary Coleman-Williams, Brenda Williams, and James “Beauty” Williams.

She is survived by her daughter-in-love, Brigette Williams of Weatherford; her brothers and sisters, A.Y. Williams Jr. and wife Debbie of New Orleans, Louisiana, Mozela Williams of Clinton, Martha Parker and husband Larry of Clinton, Jean Brown and husband Sherman of Clinton, Luzella Williams of Clinton, and Elaine Williams of Edmond, Ted Hogan and his wife Fatima of Oklahoma City; her special niece, Leaster Lenard; her special great-niece, Micah Jackson; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Susanna will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 9, 2026, at Cornerstone Church, with Rev. Robert Moreland, Adrian Carr, and Mal Ray Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Williams, Manzel Durrett, Gregory Brown, L.J. Williams, Sherman Brown Jr., Alex Parker, and Seth Reed.Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Ramsey, Jerome Smith, Loron Williams, Gary Lenard, Lonnie “Bubba” Copeland, and Garehtte Casper Sr.
