“Tweet” Cage
Arapaho resident “Tweet” Cage, age 64, was born November 11, 1960, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Thurman and Ruby (Aghoom) Cross. She passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Tweet was raised in the Colony and Clinton areas and attended Clinton Public Schools. A loving homemaker, she married Robert Cage on February 14, 2015. She lived her entire life in the Clinton and Colony communities, cherishing the simple things. She loved spending time with her family—especially her two local nephews—cooking, caring for her dogs, and bringing positivity to those around her. Tweet was known for speaking straightforwardly and for her kind, uplifting nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Ruby Cross; her husband, Robert Cage; her sister, Reba Solomon; and her brother, Duke Cross.
Tweet is survived by her son, Elton Chris Taylor of Jasper, Texas; her sister, Beverly Bryson of Canon City, Colorado; nieces and nephews Keisha Cross of Jacksonville, Florida, Kassie Cross of Clinton, Matthew Bryson and Travis Bryson, both of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Bryson of Spring, Texas, Forrest Solomon of Norman, Oklahoma, Bear Christiansen of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Kamden Duke Long of Clinton, and Hunter Suchite of Clinton.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Colony Indian Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her brother, Duke. Gerald Panana and Oliver Pedro will officiate. Services are under the direction of Lee Hometown Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Hyman Chapel, located in the funeral home.
