Victor Edwin Tisher

Victor Edwin Tisher, age 80, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 29, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born May 7, 1945, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Louis and Marie (Hollman) Tisher.

Victor was raised in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1963. He attended Oklahoma State University for a year before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Army. From 1965 to 1968, he served with honor in Vietnam. A man of strong faith, Victor was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Guthrie.

On June 16, 1995, Victor married the love of his life, Peggy Prentice, in Clinton. Together, they recently celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage. Victor spent the majority of his life farming in the Guthrie area, where he took great pride in working the land, raising cattle, and enjoying every aspect of the outdoors. In February 2022, he and Peggy moved to Clinton to be closer to family.

Victor had a deep love for his family, his country, and his Lord. He enjoyed sharing stories of his military service and life on the farm with anyone who would listen. His gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marie Tisher.

Victor is survived by his wife Peggy of the home; his son, Jason Nickels and wife Keri Len of Clinton; his daughter, Stephanie Lagaly and husband Terry of Mustang; his mother-in-law, Carol King of Clinton; his brother, Louis Tisher of Guthrie; his sister-in-law, Penny Hargus and husband Butch of Clinton; his grandchildren, Aiden and Aubrey Nickels, Camryn Jackson, and Madi Lagaly; as well as several cousins and extended family members.
