Yolanda Jean Goodblanket

Yolanda Jean Goodblanket, age 65, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 4, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to Richard and Florence Goodblanket.

Yolanda was raised in Big Springs, Texas, and graduated from Big Springs High School in 1977. She later attended Howard College in Texas, where she earned a degree in Business Administration. Over the years, she worked diligently in various manufacturing roles, including at Big Play in Oklahoma City, Krystal Manufacturing for 18 years, and most recently at Quick Change Corporation, where she also served as a translator when needed.

Yolanda had a vibrant personality and enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing BINGO, visiting casinos, watching Netflix, listening to music, and most of all, spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also attended Together Church in Oklahoma City alongside her daughter Stephanie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Florence Goodblanket; her husbands, Clemente Olivas Sanchez and Theron Starr; and her sisters, Renee and Lahoma Goodblanket.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: sons Christopher Sanchez of Clinton, Michael Sanchez and wife Lisa Garza of Shawnee, and Roy Starr of Clinton; daughters Alicia Sanchez and husband Matt Tom Sr. of Oklahoma City, and Stephanie Sanchez of Clinton; her brother Scott Goodblanket and wife Marsha of Big Springs, TX; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, Brooke-Lynn Goodblanket of Clinton; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Clinton Emergency Response Center (ERC), with Gerald Panana officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. A traditional wake will be held from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, also at the Clinton ERC building.
